Jule is originally from the Bay area, and has grown up swimming. At age 15, she took the lifeguard training course through the American Red Cross, and began lifeguarding at the local community pools. She got certified through the American Red Cross as a Water Safety instructor in 1995 and has been teaching swimming ever since.
